The links for the 3 packs have to be the same for u so I am pretty sure although you cannot see the new log (I am looking at it right now on Amazon's site) you will not have any less chance of getting one PS2 pack...

Have each package URL in a different frameset. Used a meta tag to refresh after 15 seconds and cycle to the next frameset.

This is kind of off-topic but someone a while back suggested ordering PS2's from a company called Mediaplay. Did anyone remember ordering from them? I ordered from them around the end of October and expected the order to never be fulfilled (Didn't think they would get any PS2's) Today, I find a package on my door step from them. It's a PS2 w/ Tekken Tag, Controller and Vertical Stand. Anyone else get a PS2 from Mediaplay?

heh.. since techbargains linkchecker went down.. i went ahead and wrote my own.. i wrote 2 versions..

the first is run at a specific interval out of crontab and when one is found instock it sends me a page through sms over my cellphone with the site name and url..

the other version i wrote is an irc bot that sits in a channel and scans continuously to check buy/bestbuy/etoys/amazon(x3)/walmart(x2) every few seconds then will output the link in a channel when it is found to be in stock..

scary how much free time i have.. :(

i was thinking about writing a script to poll amazon and the others on the minute, and generate a mail-list to peeps (cell phone/pager anyone) when they come in stock.

anyone care to help code?

i'd host it for free.
