Playing Titan Quest again

I never had any major bugs; just occasional rubber banding; but not so bad as to be annoying. Never a crash or broken quest. A few objects have bad tags (again not major).

There is a fan patch that is suppose to fix the rubber banding and many of the bad tags. If I play again I might pick it up (the fan patch). I was kind of hoping for a drm free copy either off of gog or impulse; but I'm only willing to pay $5 since I already own the dvd copy.

I had a lot of bugs. Rubber banding and CTD ever 20 minutes or so.

I can't remember if I found a solution or if the game worked when I moved over to my new laptop...

Titan Quest got a bad rap for being buggy because the pirated versions had bombs in them that made them bug out. The pirated version permeated so deeply into the system that even reviewers were reporting it as buggy. Hence less people bought the game and the developer went under.

Yeah, this is definitely a load of croak. I have played multiple retail versions, and they all had tons of bugs.

Still, the developer didn't deserve to collapse.

For some incredibly strange reason I found it got much more stable when I moved to Service Pack 3. In fact a lot of other games did. Of course, a handful of older games like DK2 became unplayable.
I have no freakin clue why.

The only bugs that I have come across only show after 4-6 hrs of running, The accational drop to desktop (But I get that in other games as well), Some odd background graphics, But a save and restart works fine.
Mine is an old version and I only run the update and the IM add-on and no problems over the years playing it.

I had no bugs or rubber banding with the version I had. It was both TQ games on a single DVD with keycodes and worked great.

I've been playing it recently. Does anyone know who the seemingly intelligent, nomadic cat-like species we're massacring are? And why are we committing genocide against them?

I always thought it was funnier that I am singlehandedly responsible for the extinction of the neanderthals and saber tooth tigers. Oh, my liche king has helped with that.

gaaaaahhhhh still playing this.

anyone have suggestions for any good mods or custom quests/maps... whatever is offered out there?

FYI a solid Ranger with a Liche King is a wrecking ball.

lol, I was just going to post this and I STARTED THE THREAD!

I finished King's Bounty the other day and I'm looking for something to get into. Tried Magicka, but I'm not entirely sold on it yet.

Must...not....load....up...Titan's Quest.....

Wanna speed up game play?
Download and apply Defiler. Give yourself double or triple XP and the game wont feel like such a long grind.

But then you'd just mow through enemies wouldn't you?
You'd be a level 2x-3x higher than the enemies right?

I don't like mods anymore than mess with gameplay dramatically. As I stated before I applied some mods in the past that gave unique drops constantly. It was fun, but then it just became boring.

I want more maps and quests!
