Playing the game of life like a hacker

Seems if I make ever move, every thought in a calculated manner while exploiting vulnerabilities in the system, I'd get far. Today I scooped a considerable spoonful of butter and washed it down with milk. I chose a fatty choice rather than a carb rich choice due to my anticipated activity, which basically had low physical input requirement. By selecting the butter, I bypassed the need to burn off carbs which would have been impossible to do from a computer chair playing CS:GO. By choosing the butter, I took full advantage of ketogenic philosophy while maintaining equilibrium with my host environment as playing a pc game has minimal electrical cost and produces zero waste. If I played the game of basketball, I'd have to consume more to fuel the activity. A pc game requires minimal real world fuel aside from fuel to power the electricity, which tends to get more efficient as time goes by

I was sucked into the whole lifehacker thing for a long time. It's a fun concept, but if you step back & look at it...you just ate butter followed by a glass of milk, dude. I guess the distinction is efficiency with a goal in mind vs. efficiency for the sake of just doing it. It's easy to be really efficient...with food, you could just switched to Soylent & never have to cook again to get 100% of your nutrition. You don't even have to mix the powder anymore...they sell it pre-mixed in bottles. Open, chug, chuck, and you're done. In fact, people who are well-off or have their finances in order do this all the time...they paid for maid service, lawnmowing service, laundry service, etc. so that they have more free time to spend doing what they want.

And that higher level is important to think about, the question of doing what you want. I came to realize that efficiency for efficiency's sake is a pretty lame idea because who cares? You're going to die at some point & none of it will matter anyway. But if you used that efficiency to free up your time & your mind to do the things you really wanted to do (whether that's work more or nef more or whatever drives you), then that's efficiency with a purpose. Huge difference because then you're not just existing as zen as possible, you're freeing up your personal resources in order to do more of what you want.
