I have an idea on how to connect everything - but I just want some other input as to what equipment (TV card) would be good for this job. I believe all I need is a TV card with video in - and plug in the console's video AV cable into that. Then figure out somehow how to run the sound out to my speakers. Since the sound comes out of the AV cables as well, I'm thinking I need a AV to headphone jack, a female to female headphone coupler - that way I can plug the speakers in too. I hope you can follow my description, I know it may be confusing. But yeah, would that work? I've also read that there might be some lag for the video coming to the monitor... is that true? Should I be worried about that?

1) Yes, you need an RCA to 1/8" jack, unless your speakers have RCA input.
2) Video lag? Maybe a millisecond or two, nothing big.
3) Get VGA cables for your consoles. You will thank me later. :)

Okay. I just tested the video on my roommate's computer. It worked fine. But I didn't have any cables at hand to work out the sound situation. But I'm sure a visit to the local radio shack will do. Now I just need to figure out what kind of TV card to buy. Suggestions?
