Playing .flac & .mp4 audio files on WMP 11?

Does anyone know of a method to:
1. Play .flac audio files on WMP 11, that would enable display of the "progress bar" & "time played/time remaing" information?
2. Enable WMP 11 for playing .mp4 audio files?

Note: I prefer using the "SRS Wow Effect", which is natively supported by WMP.
Also: latest klite codec is installed: "klcodec480f.exe".
The VLC media player can play both file types as described, but doesn't include "SRS Wow effect" support.

afaik, wmp can't seek in .flac files, thus no progress bar.
