Especially with the discussion on how EA butchered the burnout series with paradise. I loved NOT HAVING TO DRIVE THROUGH THE MENU SYSTEM! I just want to select the next race and be done with it. If there was actually something to do while driving it would be cool but making me drive to find an event is utter bs. This game sucks big freaking time compared to the rest in the series. There's no purpose to free range driving in a game like this. "there's no loading time" Well DUH! Now instead of 10 seconds of loading time you have 20 minutes of useless driving. I love Burnout games but this one makes me throw in the towel.
see thats how i was from the demo. but after it came out i was tempted and tempted to get it, and i eventually got it for like $43 used.
and i'm SSSSOOOOO glad i did.
while i am probably one of the biggest burnout fans and Revenge is probably my most played 360 game to date, i still am enjoying this game GREATLY. it's almost like Crackdown in a car.
Granted it's different than the other burnouts, I do enjoy it as a nice evolution of the series. sure as hell I miss the crash mode and restarting a race, and i even hate how it doesn't block off useless roads when racing because it causes you to get all screwed up sometimes and can't restart, but you know what, it has a ton that makes up for it.
i've played the game over 10 hours and i'm only 15% done ... 15% done in 10 hours!. this is one HUGE game. i played for 2 hours the other night just trying to get some of the gates smashed through and I would hop into some challenges when I crossed an intersection if I felt like it.
trust me, if you are a burnout fan and aren't getting into this game simply out of spite and it being different (not having restart, not having crash mode, not having direct tracks you go from point A to point B), then you are seriouslky missing out.
and then you have online mode ... i can't even explain how integrated it is and how much fun it is to do the challenges with others.
