Playboy the magazine...not impressed.

I've never read Playboy before, but decided to pick it up through that free magazine offer a while back. I just got my second issue of the magazine and I'm just not impressed.
When I got the first issue, I didn't really like the publication, but I thought that it might have just been that particular issue. So I waited on the next issue, and found myself thinking the same thing...What's all the hype?

I can easily say that I enjoy (in terms of men's magazines) Maxim and Stuff much much more than I like Playboy.

Just curious to see what all the hype is all about, maybe I'm missing something.
 
It's good reading, & the pictures are a definite plus. 😉

I like it because it's relatively tame, I don't have to worry about turning a page & seeing the latest in double penetration fun or some crap like that.

depends on what you are expecting. if you are expecting insightful articles, exciting fiction and non-fiction, interesting reads from the advisor, good hard stories and civil rights, exclusive interviews, and funny cartoons, then Im sure you will be impressed as I am. 🙂

If you are expecting hot women baring all, you probably will be dissapointed. Many are hot, but 90% of em are big chested, fake blond, and in cheesy outfits. I hardly even bother looking at the photos anymore.
 
Its because, if we want to see porn all we have to do is go to the net, and if we want to see good looking girls and cool men stuff we go to maxim. Playboy is a mixing of the 2, but we are a generation of etremes so it doesnt tickly our fancy.

I guess Playboy was hyped up and developed in an internet-less generation. Now that we got the net...all I gotta do is type in a quick little somethin and I can see Kaila Yu doing herself.

i agree. i also enjoy reading some of the articles in Playboy. also the 20Q section is usually interesting

you guys are nuts..the highest quality women are on Playboy...I dont personally buy the magazine cuz I have the show on satellite...but any man that can say that Playboy sucks...is crazy...or too young to understand the articles 🙂
 
I definately agree the latest one does SUCK. The centerfold is not impressive. I like my woman like i like my milk... And Chyna is a fugly beast! Nothing womanly about her at all... :disgust: The hottest chick in there is that bubble butt on page 72...

i think Stuff is for retards that don't know how to read... Maxim is a little better, but not much.. Playboy has a good blend of reading material and pictures..
 
I find the comments about IQ and playboy interesting... It's funny what people will say to feel good about themselves and their passtimes.... I personally think playboy is boring, and not worth the read... fake women plus uninspired journalism doesnt interest me, and although I think its crass to talk about your own IQ, it seems that some people need that kind of reinforcement... well mine is somwehere in the area of 140 and (you dont need exact numbers, you get the idea) and I dont enjoy playboy....



So go ahead and start posting your inflated IQ numbers 😛
I'm sure the lies will make you feel warm and fuzzy.
 
I enjoy the articles of Maxim more than I enjoy the articles of Playboy. The Maxim articles are more entertaining and sometimes useful. Playboy articles tend to not apply to me and they are mostly interviews.
