Yep thats right, the buzz in QuakeWorld is that they've stopped checking for valid serial keys when trying to get online w/ QIII. This means that now you can all play your "backup" copies of QIII w/o having a legit key.

This is the hottest deal around for all you [butt] pirates that are too cheap to buy the game
 
If you like the game, support the designers and coders by BUYING it. How much can Q3 cost. You can pick up UT GOTY for 10-15 bucks, the standard version for $4.99 at Staples. And DAMN, I am spending too much time playing Strike Force.
 
For the cheap-asses in this forum, this is the hottest deal yet, because most hot-deals in this thread require for you to atleast have some $$.. but not this, baby...

This isn't warez like you're all thinking, some of you might have lost your cd-key and can't play online but... now you can!

hmm.....i have a purchased, registered (valid) copy of Q3, have the latest &quot;patch&quot; and it asks me for my reg. key now more than ever...

Finally, the world begins to leak into Anandtech.
I think it started with getting &quot;PAIDED&quot; to buy a Printer and Scanner.
Then it came to computers thinking out loud.
I can't WAIT to see what we get tomorrow, everyday is a holiday at Anandtech! 🙂
