PLAY PLAYSTATION ONE /w LCD & ADAPTER IN YOUR CAR FOR $174

I wonder if you can disassemble the LCD and mount it on your dash, then put the console under your seat.
 
Might be an interesting hack, if you could check all the pin-outs and build your own adapter.

How big is the PS-One's LCD screen? 5"? Any smaller, and it's probably not worth it.
 
I was wondering that myself. If modchippable great deal. Couldn't find any specs on size for either lcd screen or ps one. If anyone knows of a link or review please post here or email me.

They are kinda small, i saw one at toys r us, but nice find kenji... I think sony is coming out with their own lcd screen and it's supposed to be like 40 bucks.
 
The LCD is usable with anything including a dvd player or whatever you could use it with a Dreamcast if you wanted to. I really doubt that Sony is gonna price their screen at 40 bucks think about it how can you sell an lcd for 40 bucks even a small one it is impossible.
 
the stores that mod the playstations say its better to mod the new psones than to do the old ones. supposedly the psones are better.
 
?? There's only one model of the PS-One as of now. I don't know what the store is talking about. You can get a chip for $5 at kickchips. I have dealt with him several of times, very nice guy.

i too would like to know how big the lcd screen is. that would be a big factor in my decision to get this package.

5 inch LCD is impossible to find. I guarantee it. You have to remember there are different kinds of LCD's. Then you have to build/buy switches and power converters etc.
 
How does this LCD connect to the PS One, I would rather get a dreamcast and hook it up to that. Would I have to do a lot of wiring or are there just RCA or similar connections?

Anyone buy this yet and test it out?
 
prolly better off goin to egay and gettin a good pioneer or alpine or mobil authority lcd for a good price and then hookin up w/e you want to it. I'd prolly guess this is a 4 incher, judging by the price, and it's prolly not that good quality ne wayz.
