i just quit EVE again. Had two chars been playing them for 6 months now and got them up to ~7 or 8 mil SP. Managed to hoard up about 1 trillion ISK between them

I quit because like someone else mentioned there's too much down time. Just staring at the screen superimposed with "approaching gate" most of the time. I don't have that kind of free time anymore.

I'm trying the game out with the free trial and it is captivating as long as you can look past all the downtime as mentioned earlier. I'm only on my 4th day and the question I have is what else is out there besides the 'fetch me this' and 'kill those drones' missions. I like the all the ships available and their upgrades but the story line isn't very captivating, seems like you just go from agent to agent.

Just started training ref efficieny 5 after quite a while of inactivity.

15 M skill point char looking for a decent like-minded clan focusing on industry for the time being. My handle is Grandeur.

I'm primarily a miner/refiner, combat being secondary.

I'd post my lvl 4 and 5 skills here but there are too many.

Previously my gaming time was focused on HL2DM, but I have regained interest in EVE again and would like to make some serious ISK as opposed to the measely 35 mill I have atm.
I will split gaming time 50/50 between EVE/HL2DM. I do have a job 8-5 M-F, but any time afterwards is usually fair game, and weekends are possible.

Any one know of any corps? Like, say, an AT/ATOT corp?

the npc story line isnt that important, what is important are the alliance story lines created and molded by the players, thats where the game gets interesting 🙂

I really don't sympathize. EVE is about logistics. Name me one MMORPG besides 'City of Travel Powers which ruin most if not all PVP fir Heroes/Villains' that doesn't put emphasis on logistics and travel time.

First off your skills play a HUGE part of the game. Navigation 4, Afterburners 4 and Highspeed Manuevering unlock Microwarp Drives. Nanofiber Hull upgrades increase speed and agility. Overdrives modules improve speed. Shuttles are ~560m/s for average skills. Interceptors can jump 20 jumps in a matter of minutes.

Also, making a system you HOME system moving in and around there to do your mojo and logistically making runs to a trade hub only when you need to is also a natural way of playing a game of logistics logically.

So please don't say EVE is boring because of travel. Thats like saying logistics is boring. In fact you won't find a more realistic way of an open ended game. If you want to be chaotic in your methods I think you need to get City of Zeroes where at lvl 14 you just made the size and scope of the game world pointless and predictable.
