Play css on this graphics?

I just bought a new laptop with a centrino duo t2050 (1.6ghz). I was wondering if I could play css on its graphics. It has a intel accelerated graphics 950. I know it wont be outstanding, but will I beable to get it to run above 20fps? I was thinking on very low settings. I can up my ram since right now I have 512mb and I can get 1gb

You're going to have to run it at really low settings to get a playable rate out of it. I've got a buddy that plays CSS on a GeForce 4 Ti 4200 on low settings and at 10x7, and it still gets choppy(drops below 20fps). Expect performance to be a bit worse than that.

Run the stress test and see how well it handles it.

doubt you'll be able to play, whats the resolution on your screen?
but i really doubt you'll be able to play at any settings

Second the too long sig. OP, your fixed resolution will really work against you. If it's something like 1450x1024 thwn it does not look good.

I downloaded css, and when I try to start it up, it shows the loading menu and when its done loading the screen will turn black. Is there a way for me to change to dx7 or opengl since I cant even open up the menu, but I can see the loading menu until its done loading.

You should have no problem. I have CS Source running on a machine with a pci Geforce 2 MX400 64MB. The game has to run at 640x480 and lowest settings, but it runs well enough to be considered reasonable.

But what if I can't even get in css. I can't see the menu since its all black. I have tried running it in 640 reso. That didnt work. All I can see is my mouse. Is it possible to change the settings without going in the game. Like in the program files, since I was able to do this with Bf2.

Hey cr2250 here is what I do:

Open Steam and go to your games tab. Called "My Games" I think. Right click CS:S and go to Properties. Click the button that says, "Set Launch" or something like that. Type this in: -dxlevel 70

Make sure you put a space before the hyphen if there is anything before it.
