My wife Jessie was a Chicago girl born and raised, so sing it with me: Go Cubs Go!

Story behind the song. We both loved the late, great Steve Goodman, a very close friend of Mr. John Prine.

In Spring, hope blooms anew. Nowhere is this more true than amongst diehard baseball fans.

I have lived and died my whole life with the Philadelphia Phillies . . . mostly died. 😛

I know what it's like to wander in the sports desert for years and years. So I have a ton of sympathy for Cubs fans, and I wish the North Siders well.

Batter up!

All is right with the world.
They Yankees win!

Oh, and an interesting stat that Posada, Jeter and Rivera have now played together for 17 seasons, a record for any major sport.

I hate baseball. I'm a Mets fan and my entire family are Phillies fans. April 1st through October are just misery. I don't even care that much I'll watch a game here or there but not religiously like I am with Nascar or Football but they live and breathe it and wont shut up about it.

At least the Nascar season overlaps :awe:

Then you're not a Mets fan. You're not a fan period.

Reds fans must be happy, Ramon Hernandez hit a walk off 3 run jack FTW. My poor M's don't open until tomorrow however.
