'Plated' speakers? is this BS?

Aye, but it's more fun IMO than just buying stuff...I like doing things on my own.


And even w/ 3-way fronts, it's still around budget...so I guess it is practical.


And your 'voice matched' theory is kinda skewed. What about in a car where you use different types of speakers? The biggest problem that would pose is frequence response, one set might have a dip at 1kHz where the other might have a peak at 1kHz causeing a little odd sound...nothing that couldn't be fixed w/ an eq though.

Voiced matched drives are essential for a good HT system, and who was talking about car systems? Also hvae you ever built a 3 way x-over?
