Plastic strip under thermal paste on Intel boxed?

Hi,

I just bought a Intel 3.2 GHz Pentium D processor (boxed - with a Intel heatsink).

After installing the CPU I got a bit worried that I forgot to remove the plastic strip protecting the thermal paste on the boxed heat sink!?

Does anyone know if there is a plastic strip over the thermal paste on the cooler included with the Intek boxes processors? - I think not, but I just want to be sure.

Thanks

I have just checked the documentation and the Intel web site. There is no instructions for removing a protective plastic strip, so I guess its safe to assume there there is none.

Would be nice to get it confirmed though - has anybody installed a Pentium D with a stock cooler lately?
