I have a major dust issue in my pc...to minimize this i want to get some pre made filters. Aluminium mesh or plastic, which work better? Also, would filters on my exhaust fans help any?

Oh, and heres another question: Is the fan on the ps intake or out? If it is in, can i fit a filter inside it?

Tanks for your help.

I use aluminum mesh filters on my rig and I recommend them. They pick up quite a bit of the dust while barely restricting airflow.

You don't want filters on your exhaust fans...think about it for a second. Any dust that would be going through your exhaust fan would be getting exhausted out of the case, so filters on those are useless.

Normally, the PSU fan is exhausting the air out of the PSU. So, don't put a filter on it.

In regards to the plastic ones some are better designed than others.. I have one with a very poor, restrictive foam and front plastic piece and another with a perfect front plastic piece and better foam (more like a light sponge than foam)
So not all of them are created equal YMMV

I like the metal mesh ones myself cause they are easier to clean. just like the filter on a dryer. nice and easy.
