Plantronics .Audio 90 gaming headset - $8.95 + shipping

I picked up the Plantronics DSP-500 headset when it was available in the Plantronics clearance section for $32.90 + shipping. I believe the .Audio 90 headset is basically the same headset minus the in-line DSP processor. It is an analog headset with the typical 3.5mm headphone and microphone connectors. It also has a small in-line pod with a mute button and volume control.

FiringSquad did a review and gave them an 85% rating when the purchase price was $30. At $8.95 apiece + shipping, I don't doubt it would have been a 90%+ rating.

Shipping was also surprisingly decent at $7.95 for my order of 4.

If you do order, double-check to make sure that what gets charged to your card matches what your checkout receipt says. I have to call them up because they seem to have overcharged me by $6 on my order.

Thanks OP, I needed a new microphone and I've always loved using the .70 mic along with my HD580's for gaming. Got .90 for my girlfriend as she doesn't have a pair of headphones or mic. Order Total*: $24.85

How did you attach the .70 mic to your 580s? Does it come with a clip?

I actually wear both at once. Rather than put the .70's on your ears you just put them around your neck and the mic still is in the perfect position to talk. For some reason I've prefer this over mics that clip on.

FYI - I just got off the phone with Plantronics and the reason they gave for the price discrepancy for my CC hold was that they initially include tax. If it turns out that they don't have an office in your state, then the hold is allowed to expire and the actual amount is charged.

I had a pair and they had very poor build quality. Bough a pair of Sennheiser and they sound way better, plus their built like a tank.
