Interesting. Also interesting is that they are currently hyping it as a way to cut down drinking .. if it works like they say, however, it will certainly be marketed as an "enhancer" i.e. "save money at bars - get drunk cheaper and quicker!" than as a deterrent.

THERE IS A GOD! First he gives us alcohol to get drunk. And now, when things get tough, he gives us some crazy vine to get us all even more drunk

Side effects include growing big green tentacles at the rate of a foot per day. Make sure the girl you take home wasn't drinking that, or you'll wake up as the star of an anime flick!

Could this have an impact of current BAC laws? If less alcohol is needed to get drunk then you could have drunk drivers who are in compliance with current BAC laws. Or am I looking at this wrong?

Yea I don't think this will cut down on binge drinking. People will just get more drunk after the same high number of beers.

we have kudzu all over the place here. Hmmm, I could just go to the forest, grab some, and I have a blender at home.....

this is great news for my redneck relatives in alabama. they imported kudzu from japan throughout the south to combat erosion. now it chokes the hell out of trees.

maybe all of the drunks will wipe out the scourge

ROFL. Try it man... wash some, grind it up, and do some shots. Report back the findings here. ;)
