Hi all, I am from Hong Kong....

there, we only have 3 brands of 7800GTX EXTREME ver. available, and I am choosing from 1 of these 2

1. XFX GEFORCE 7800GTX EXTREME GAMER EDITION (490/1300)

2. LEADTEK WINFAST 7800GTX EXTREME (490/1250)

XFX is the cheaper solution, but as long as I visited the XFX forum knowing many ppl. are complaining that the stuff is somehow overheating and cause artifact~

Is Leadtek the better solution with its better heatsink?

Thanks for your help

I've just ordered the Leadtek one, It will be my third leadtek card with their custom cooling solutions.

The first two have been great.
A 5950Ultra and then a 6800GT.

Have you thought about waiting 20 days to see what these 7800GTX 512MB cards look like and how much the price's of the 7800GTX Extreme cards go down.

The 7800GTX 512mb is supposed to have 1800Mhz GDDR3 ram and a core of 530Mhz

The X1800XT 512mb will also be avalable to buy in 20 days too :)

You can get a 7800GTX extreme then for less money or one of the other two above.

Well in my case I wanted to get something this week.

And also my monitor only goes up to 1680x1050 so I don't think I will really need that extra RAM till next upgrade.

for my case, it's only a 19" LCD monitor....

256Mb is far enough for me...

BTW, I can't wait "20" days~
