Sell your CPU. If that's a skt775 chip, you're not going to get anything close to a good system for around $600.

Just get a socket 775 mobo and transfer all your old stuff and work from there(make sure you get a mobo that supports what you have or upgrade the parts you can't transfer). If your a brand whore... specify want brands you whore(asus? msi? etc?)...

Yes, but there are 775 chipsets that support DDR RAM and AGP cards. If you want all new tech(I.E. DDR2/PCI-E videocard) then you'll probably have to save up more money. I agree with Ayashi in that it would be easier to just plop in what you have now on a compatible motherboard and upgrade later on.

So, do you have anything else besides the videocard and the CPU?

Well, I'd suggest getting this motherboard. It's compatible with 775 CPUs and you can still use your current RAM and videocard.

Anyone feel free to chime in on the quality of this MB. There just isn't much info going around on skt775. Abit is definitely a good brand, however.

Plop in a 6800/6800 GT and you're all set.

BTW, what is your PSU?
