ok so im in the planning stage for a new computer. As of right nor I have no budget so price is no problem and right now I'm working on storage for the system. What i plan on doing is using a RAID 0 array as a boot drive and for video editing and such, a 15000RPM SCSI for games and a LARGE storage/backup drive.
The SCSI drives that im looking at are 76 GB drives. The RAID 0 drives would either be 200+GB SATA 7000RPM drives or 2 raptors 2nd gen. the storage drive/back up drive will be a drive as big as I can find. Im a pack rat when it comes to downloading things.
ok my question is, is the SCSI going to be faster than a RAID 0 setup and if so by how much.
Im looking for fast load times, I know FPS is based on Grapics card, RAM, and CPU.
The new system is going to have at least 1GB or more of RAM.
