Planning for a 8800GTX

Hi Techs,

I have planned to upgrade my PC with Core 2 Duo E6600 with 2GB RAM and 8800GTX by this Sept
Will the price of 8800GTX projected to come down by much and is it wise to wait till Sept for the upgrade.

absolutely wait until at least the 14th when the rd600 is supposed to come out. If the rd600 is even someone competitive the price of the 8800 is bound to drop.

and by sept the 8800gtx will be severly outdated since all of the nvidia and ati refresh cards will be out before then.

Wait until at least next week.

You may very well expect the 8900GTX and 8950GX2 cards out by September as a refresh of the 8800 line-up. These will be faster in clock speed and produced at either 80nm or less so less power and less heat per each MHz.

I am planning to buy Rosewill RP600V2-S-SL 600W SMPS to power this upgrade. Is it good enough

Yes it will be more than enough with combined 35A on the 12V..
