The remake/reboot I'd love to see most is Jurassic Park - keep it truer to the book and don't fucking dumb it down for the kiddies. While I love the original, and can appreciate how it was such a major break through for CGI, it could be so much more in today's movie industry, just like the 1989 Batman (again, another movie love) to the rebooted Nolan series (which I <3 even more)...could even make it a tribute to Crichton

Hmm, I've never seen Jurassic Park, but it seems most people loved it and would be upset with a remake.

WTF Remake Escape from NY, why

They should retitle it: Escape from the Winter in NY

Ah come on, it's not that bad 😎

look waaaaaay upstate. you guys are always warmer than us.

Mosh it was 0 this morning

I LOVE IT

Why do you love it? I like it in the 20's, 30's even better for the winter.

It was -10 here this morning. :|

1984 would be awesome if they did it right. The version of the film actually filmed in 1984 was pretty good, though.

I've heard of Logan's Run, looks like something I'd enjoy. Two films, that's about it, haha.

I read The Lost World before I saw the movie. The movie followed the book exactly for all of 5 minutes. The rest of the movie wasn't even close to the book at all. 🙁

put more cloths on then

theres nothing better then Skiing when its -25 WITHOUT the windchill because you are the only person on the Mtn

Logan's Run is the only remake that I'm excited about seeing. It's one that absolutely needed a remake. The f/x they had back then were super cheesy and doesn't hold up well at all. Even when I saw it in the 80s I felt that way. The other ones I wouldn't mind seeing are 1984, Fahrenheit 451, and Westworld. My gripe with Hollywood movies these days is the emphasis of style over substance. The movies I mentioned have a lot of potential storytelling. They should be plot driven, not f/x driven. Please don't butcher them, Hollywood.

I highly disagree. I brought up Batman as a perfect example. Just like with Batman, Jurassic Park started out as an excellent film and was gradually bastardized by Hollywood, getting much worse with each successive sequel. But the franchise is simply too valuable to leave alone...so what would the people rather have? A horrid but inevitable Jurassic Park 4 or a total reboot of the franchise like what we've seen Nolan do with Batman?

Looks like they are not remaking M.A.S.H. yet.

Did you guys check the sequels list, some scary stuff thre too.

Well the director for the new Logan's Run is an unknown, but the guy writing the screenplay is the guy that did Children of Men, which I thought was well done, so hopefully that will help things.

Personally, I'd like to see a really good remake of Dune. I thought the original sucked, but the story had great potential.

Also, Logan's Run. A great 70's movie that could really be made well with today's special effects.

Like I said, I haven't seen the movie myself, I am just going off what I read about it. You could very well be correct in your statement.
