Theme pictures that are called <anything>ing are no longer funny or clever.

Have you heard about "Anandteching" yet? It's the act of raining on someone's parade, by claiming you already knew about it or pretending it isn't funny for your own enjoyment.

I'm not usually that guy, but 5000 variants on the same theme gets old really fast.
 
I feel kinda proud that my generation didn't come up with this kinda crap.
And take 35mm photos of them. Using a flatbed scanner and uploading them to the local BBS's through xmodem? I am sure this would have caught on...

Perhaps instead you just went to the local photo developer and had some copies made of the prints and put them up on the bulletin boards at social halls?

The likelihood that it makes the 6pm news in the 80's or before is completely laughable.

Whoever comes up with these memes is so pathetic they can't even come up with an original take on an old, played out trend.
