For anyone that's interested its being shown on Discovery channel. My Dish Network menu lists is from 4pm to 12am, YMMV. 🙂

I thought the full show was 4 hours? My dad loves these nature shows, i'll let him know.

Maybe it is and they are doing repeats. All I know is going by my Dish Network menu is its on for 7 hours.

the original version with the british voice-over is so much better than f'in Sigourney Weaver. They needed to americanize. The helicoter-mounted hd camera shots are the best nature documentary clips ever produced.

I bought the HD DVD version and made sure David Attenborough was narrating. It's an absolute masterpiece.

They replaced David Attenborough with Sigourney Weaver? Wow. I will never understand TV people. Do you know they have some English guy speak over Adam and Jamie on Mythbusters on our discovery channel? As if we wouldn't understand them or something. Why?

Wait, what the fuck? They actually did that? That's BS.

you guys are nuts. I couldn't STAND the cocky british accent. Weaver's narration sounded a lot more intriguing, and showed a lot more admiration. Both told the same information, so I don't know what the issue is. Either listen to some elitist spew out the information, or listen to a narration with a bit more optimistic emotion.

How is he "cocky" and "elitist"? Attenborough is one of the greatest narrators ever.

So...uh...hate to stay on topic but what's this about? Does it have naked african ladies in it? Hot ones? I'm not watching it otherwise.

I for once agree with godlessastronomer. I don't have anything against Sigourney's narration. However, knowing Attenborough was the original, it makes me sad.

The real question is why didn't they just say 'fuck it, lets get Morgan Freeman'

She added humanity to the program. When I heard the British version I thought of this

He was too busy trying to indoctrinate and raise an army of Penguins from birth...
