Got tired of waiting for my Dell MSI 8800 card so I cancelled it and went with this one instead. I figured at least I'd be able to do EVGA's step-up program in a few months and get a fairly decent game thrown in to boot. Hopefully these will also have the new fans too (well, we can hope).

You must mean the 256mb model, because the 512mb won't be that cheap any time soon. The MSRP is $249 for the 512mb card, $199 for the 256mb version.

Yep. He'll still be waiting while in Feb-March I'll probably be stepping up to my next card. That's the good thing about the EVGA- not really losing any money.
