A girl in one of my online classes, in which plagiarism was specifically written about in the syllabus, submitted about a half page of writing for a bulletin board assignment that contained multiple sentences and phrases taken word-for-word from exactly three uncited sources. It hardly seems ethical...

Well, I'd probably talk to the girl myself and tell her that I know she's a freakin' plagiarizer, and that she better cut it out before she gets her butt expelled. As far as doing anything officially though, I probably wouldn't rat her out since these things can have serious rammifications and I don't really want to feel responsible for kicking someone out of school or whatever. I mean, it's unethical but I'd still feel kinda crappy for trashing someone's academic career.

Heh Plagiarism is one of those things that I just realized that I probably haven't done since like...1st grade when I used the encyclopedia for everything, but back then it kinda wasn't really Plagiarism cuz the teachers kinda told you to copy the encyclopedia lol.

sounds like a girl i know also

whatever....deal with it, people do unethical sh1t all the time

best response yet . . . just deal with it, who cares what other people do these days. I love it how some people feel that someone else's actions will play a role in their outcome. You are still going to graduate, etc right? So who gives two sh1ts if one of your classmates conducted plagiarism. . . deal with yourself, and your own issues, not someone elses. No disrespect meant at all in this post, I just wish people would not be so bothered by others actions, especially if it does not directly affect you.
