Placement of fans question

Hi all,

Trying to put a comp together wonder if the front/ back placement matters for case fans??? The front is usually bare for a grill.

Does it affect airflow??

the side with the motor support is usually where its blowing. ideally, you'd want the rear fans to be blowing out hot air and the front fans taking in cooler air.
