Trump is...

  • A Russian useful idiot

  • A willing participant of Russia's plans

  • Compromised by Russians because they have something on him

  • incapable of accepting that russia helped elect him because of his ego

  • my president and I refuse to acknowledge anything negetaive about him

Well, out of 1-4, I see it this way:
1. I don't think it is too far-fetched to consider him an idiot for, well... NVM, he's an idiot. And he has definitely proved useful, but I think there is easily more.
2. Trump is a man of few tastes. He likes himself, money, and people who flatter him. As long as he benefits, why not?
3. The Russians have quite a bit on him, but I don't think he cares. Nothing he has said or done has eroded his base support, so what if they have a pee tape or helped him win the election?
4. While he does have an ego, he also doesn't care about "playing fair." He knows Russia helped him win, but there is nothing wrong with that in his eyes.
So I voted for 2.

I think hes just an idiot that has a massive ego who won't ever admit that hes wrong about anything or back down.
Theres certainly a good possibility that people whispering to him are actually sympathetic to Russia though. He appears ludicrously easy to manipulate so I'd imagine that hes a foreign agents wet dream.

It's all that but he is also loathsome to his core and corrupt.

Fun thought, what if it is emotionally compromised, Putin is his first ever only friend in the whole universe, the only other dude on the planet that *gets* him.
Wouldnt that be hilarious.
Not really. More like two serial killers finding each other who have set out to do their lives work... Life's work... Which ever one it is you catch my drift. Putin of course being the one who does the bloody work and Trump brings him his victims then watches with glazed eyes and pure almost uncontained joy.

But do you really think Trump's above it? I don't.

Trumps a turd, he does not appear to be a guy who pays hookers (too cheap and too dirty). I could see something unintentional like some 17 year old used fake ID to get into a Maxim Vegas party who Trump then hooks up with. That certainly is creepy but it’s not Roy Moore kind of creepy.

Above is pure speculation do not take it as fact

Oh he's not above hookers though he might feel he's above paying for them.

He's also expressed previously enough of an attraction to female children that he anticipates when they'ok be of legal age. That isn't on its own damning but we know Trump won't deny himself anything.

I think this subject might be worth revisiting. Trump seems intent on weakening the US in more ways than one.
The most annoying part about this is at the end when it all collapses republicans will claim they never really supported it. When we call them out they will then act wounded and say we are being uncivil.

They are just entitled children.

Which naturally leads one to ask why they continue to support Trump and his “policies”. I think the answer is coming into focus, the Republican Party has been compromised. In the 30’s/40’s US senators were compromised by nazi agents, even using tax payer money to literally send out nazi propaganda via congressional franked mail. I don’t think wondering if republicans in power have been compromised is out of line.

Trump wants Russia to be their ally to defeat China. The issue? everyone else will be their enemy

That doesn’t make sense. Trump has been more hostile to our allies than he has been to China. His “China tariffs” resulted in an even larger trade deficit.

Voted 2. He's an entirely home-grown product of US history and culture and of its flawed political system.

The fascism is coming from inside the house.

Though what I can't decide is if he's a product of capitalism, or just of human nature. i.e. is he (like Putin, and all the others) an argument for socialism or just a symptom of the fact that human beings are simply too flawed to organise themselves in a way that is sustainable or moral, and a signifier of the fact we have no future as a species.
