hey guys

currently building pc but noticed that I connected cpu cooler incorrectly (H100i) so i will need to remove it and attach it again. It has been 1 day since installation AND I did not start the pc yet. do i need to remove the pre-paste and apply a new one

if it's dried at all yeah you probably should, and even if it's not I would anyway. It doesnt require much, most heat sinks come with enough in the little tube for 5-10 installations anyway.

Technically YES. Every time you remove the heat sink, you should re-apply the thermal paste. Otherwise some air will trapped in the old thermal paste and reduce it's conductivity.
