Really? Hmm... So then I may not have to swap out for Alpha... It's a PIA operation (as you already know... lol.. :D) to get the AquariusII out and put the Alpha in...

How was Alpha's performance compare to AquariusII, with that HUGE, I-can-cut-any-body-parts fan? It may save both me and PJ some time... ;)

You had no problem using the Koolance block (fitting, etc..)? I might look into that... I sure like the looks of the Swifttech water block... :D

Nice setup there PJ. I was just contemplating such a similar system as yours last night when I had a PC go chip-up on me.

Any chance you can run us some benches with a dual channel memory setup for comparisons sake?

Damn I thought that the Abit board you had was a dual channel board. My bad. I've been busy with AMD boards lately I haven't kept up with Intel. Time to start researching some more!! hehe

Yeah, but it could be the board readings...I know my BE7 reads it hotter than my Asus board, or maybe the Asus reads low? hehe...could we have a bit of consistancy please?!!

I find it amusing that Asus reads temps low, but overvolts, and Abit reads high, but undervolts... How's that for consistency...

In my experience.. the Alpha ran about 5c to 10c hotter and was horribly loud with that Black Label Delta... and yes it will eat body parts and ask questions later.

I was in the big city this weekend and swung by a compusa and noticed they were selling the koolance cpu-200g for $55 so figured I'd give it a shot... glad I did. As I said before, temps went down by another 5c, but what I really like is the fact that it mounts right in the original P4 bracket and can be installed/removed within a matter of minutes. The Aquarius block was really starting to worry me as I notice some major bowing/flex in the motherboard when it was installed. Normally, I wouldn't be overally concerned, but I have no desire to toast this $275 8inxp :)

I've got a 2.4b c1 @ 3150 (175x18) and my temps are 35c idle and 43c to 45c under full load.

Setting the Vdimm at 2.9 volts when you haven't even reached it's rated speed of 466DDR seems over aggressive to me. However the timings are aggressive also, but was 2.9V necessary. Does it hit it's rated speed and timings at default Vdimm? After reading the OCZ site, I learned that these sticks are tested and rated while running at 2.7V. Thanks. Peace.

I actually did back it down and got it to run at the same speeds and specs at 2.8. I am gonna work (tomorrow or Thursday) on getting the vdimm and vcore down. 180fsb seems like a sweet spot on this chip. Not to shabby. May have to get me a GB board to see if it can go any further.
