Remember, the C1 stepping has a default of 1.525.

I am using the Tweaker Bios found in Bigtoe's thread HERE
That allows me to run my mem at 2-2-2-5. This is what all tests will be run at unless noted.

Sounds interesting PJ .... This should be a good week. 🙂 I have been busy with other obligations lately, but should have a couple of things ready to post about later this week.... Including a HyperX - Twinmos (Winbond) shootout along with some other current top secret stuff. 😉

id still like to know why my unbuffered scores are so high 😕
...im pulling 2300/2370 @ 167fsb

Thugs... I am not to sure why these scores seem so low. I will be doing some more benching and tweaking today. Could just be good mem modules for ya. I am also using the tweakers bios, don't think that would matter.

Those are great FSB speeds you are hitting PJ. I'm going to be installing my GB board tonight with a 2.4B as well. I'm hopin I can hit those FSB speeds myself.

me @ 140fsb ~ buffered 3601/3592 ~ unbuffered 1936/2010

i cant explain it

(and i know we are using the exact same settings for that test too)

I am at a loss to explain the difference in scores. I am not to depressed about it though. THis board is really fast. I have been working on the SATA and drive settings today. THat is why I have not benched anymore than I have. Here is an Atto shot... HERE

PJ!!! you are giving me hope! My new CPU has the same pack date. Will be giving it a go myself in the morning after I have the water chilled....

ok PJ ~ enough of playing with Hdrives, get back to benchmarking! 😀

id really like to see you run the X-Isle benchmark 😉

I've watched Thugs, BT's, and your threads and thoughts on the 7205 for quite a while now. Just had nothing to add till now, and lots to learn.

As to your mem scores, I think (and its a bit THINK, not know) corsair configs (programs logic somehow?) the spds or what I believe to be expected refresh behaviors into their memory. As do they all. I do note you and thugs have different rated mem speeds, and I think that gives them different SPDS's as programmed by corsair. Now I know you're both setting the same behaviours settings into the boards, but I'm not so sure the ram behavior will match up.

So, is this potentially an issue? Just a thought. Good luck. And uh, where'd you get you're mboard and what did you have to pay? I'm thinking the price gauging is coming to an end, the ATI announcement is due, and its time to pull the trigger.

Luck.
