It must be fun to feel so superior. You get to look down your nose at those of lessor intellect, sneer at the ignorant rubes wallowing in misinformation (lets face it, we all enjoy a good sneer now and then). At the same time, it must be painful when those same uneducated fools refuse to accept that you're better than them, then go on to make bad decisions that leave you facing the fact of your impotence.
Seems like you're doing your own "sneering" here, in spades.

Wow.

One represents the entire base and main media outlets catering to them, and the other the fringe far outside the main base.

But yeah, totally the same right? :::massivefuckingeyeroll:::

I know. How silly is that? How could millions of people believe in some unproven conspiracy?

So I make a post pointing out logical fallacies as one of many problems and you reply with this? Sigh

Millions have believed wrong things before. Nazi Germany, Fascist Italy, billions if you count religion (pick one).

Appeals to popularity is a very basic logical fallacy. One most of us learn is wrong as a child.

Meanwhile, are you trying to support the Pizzagate conspiracy?

wait a minute. I went to religious schools. I am no more sheltered than anyone else.

:)

Congrats. By saying what you said, you have revealed the fact that you live and breathe in the real world where what you say and do has real actionable value.

Which side is denying scientific consensus? That takes a special kind of arrogant stupidity. Married with nuclear power, it is an existential threat to humanity.

You've jumped the rails here, but I'll bite; Consensus isn't established fact.
That said, we don't need to argue about climate change. The climate is changing, it's always changing, it will always be changing, and we do indeed dump titanic amounts of CO2 into the atmosphere, it pretty much has to be doing something. Trump isn't going to have a noticeable effect on that. Trump isn't going to build a thousand new coal burning power plants or order a nuclear strike against Ohio. He's going serve out his one term in office then spend the rest of his life telling everyone how great he made the US, and trying to prove he has an easement on the Lincoln bedroom.
If the DNC can manage to pull it's head out of it's ass, in three short years they could control congress, the senate and the White House. Part of that head and ass thing is to get over the smug superiority so many on the left have adopted. Lets face it, they couldn't outsmart Trump and all the knuckle dragging window lickers that follow him, so how bright could they be?

It's not that those with enough knowledge and wisdom to listen to the consensus of experts rather than suffer from Dunning Kruger are smug. It's just that those who suffer from Dunning Kruger and were smug suddenly feel foolish, and blame others. As you're doing now.

If you do, say or believe something stupid, people are going to tell you. That's not smugness no matter how foolish you feel and want to blame others. If you continue to do, say or believe stupid shit after you've been informed, you deserve to be ridiculued for the absolute fscking dumbass you are... and it's still your fault. Not everyone else's.

Now your getting angry because I challenged your position, why? You absolutely come across as smug, you ridicule anyone that dares to question you, now you're moving on to insults. I assume you're an adult, you shouldn't be so insecure.

I missed this post.
Yes, I am indeed sneering. I already said that everyone enjoys a good sneer now and then, and I'm certainly no better about it than the next fellow. As to which of us is the worst offender, at this point I'd say were running neck and neck. Though I did get the minor advantage of starting the pissing contest.
I have faith in amused though, he'll come up with some righteous indignation and pull ahead.

Outsmart? Incorrect. More like Didn't/Wouldn't Out-Treason the ignorant deplorable. Dems may have their problems but being less intelligent than Trump and his Stooges isn't one of them. I won't even suggest there isn't a level of corruption on the Dem side but being outmaneuvered by a bunch of hate filled, greedy, gluttonous, ignorant, corrupt, scumbags does not mean Dems were outsmarted. It took criminal acts/collusion and a whole lot of hate being fluffed and encouraged. Last I checked hate is by and large a symptom or condition of the deeply stupid. That is the biggest reason Dems know they are superior and much much much smarter and far more decent than Trumpublicans/Conservatives/Regressives.

This. Own up to your stupidity and realise blaming others (*cough*Democrats, Clinton, Obama, etc.*cough*) for your own ignorance is just another form of dealing with your increasing levels of cognitive dissonance. That, and doubling down on crazy conspiracy theories. It's too bad conservatards aren't capable of self reflection.

FTFY

Their bad decisions end up hurting themselves most of all. Their hatred is misplaced, and continually blows back on themselves. Their rage is fueled by their inability to affect actual positive change for themselves.

You've jumped the rails here, but I'll bite; Consensus isn't established fact.

The only rails you were ever on must've been cocaine.

I assume you mean scientific consensus about climate change? Um, actually that kinda is exactly established fact. As that's how science works. Only ignorant and people with other motives desperately try to argue otherwise.

Actually he can, because his administration is trying to permanently cripple our ability to regulate industries that are pouring that shit into the air (and other pollution elsewhere).

You know that the Senate is part of Congress, right?

Sorry, but the people with their heads in their asses are people like you that believe that type of horseshit. Its funny that you act like kindness is all it would take to win. Because Turmp was soooo fucking kind, right? Same with the Republicans. It takes a special level of bullshit shilling irony to lecture people on smugness and it being the cause of the problem while you desperately try to lace your posts with your own smugness. Further, it takes a special level of stupidity to claim that smugness is what is costing liberals votes, up against people like Turmp.

Who gives a shit about intelligence. You don't have to be smart to see how the Republicans are fucking people over. They outright gloat about it. People who post loving the taste of liberal tears and loving the smell of liberal butthurt (that is really something I see those morons say, they like the smell of liberal butt hurt, because yes they are too stupid to realize that means they like smelling liberal butts and/or farts) aren't going to be won over by kindness. They're only going to be won over when they can no longer sustain their bubble of delusion and reality slaps them so hard that it sobers them up. The people defending wannabe pedophiles like Roy Moore are doing it because he's an unrepentant asshole to these boogeyman caricatures of liberals that they buy into. They fucking love smugness.

But yes, if only liberals were less smug. Because people voting for conservatives are soooo averse to smugness.

Now your getting angry because I challenged your position, why? You absolutely come across as smug, you ridicule anyone that dares to question you, now you're moving on to insults. I assume you're an adult, you shouldn't be so insecure.

Don't think he's mad about you challenging his position, he's mad that you're defending scum like the modern Republican party and just in general being a willfully ignorant person. So what if he's smug? You were just jerking yourself off about enjoying being smug yourself. You seem to think you're being fiendishly clever but you're just showing that you're actually completely intellectually dishonest (the simple fact that you're not actually discussing the topic of the thread, or even doing anything but just tossing out flowery worded "I know you are but what am I" type of insults - which funnily enough that you somehow think just because you frame them as such that they aren't insults; you're just trying to bait people into calling you a dumbass so you can feel morally justified for acting like you do). Moving onto insults? Considering your posts in this thread are basically full of those and you initiated it by your first post being nothing but an insult, not sure why you're suddenly taken aback. Which, I've found this to be a recurring issue. You start out doing what you then claim makes everyone else the real assholes for doing, so that you can feel like you "won" the argument even though you never actually took part in it. Next up, you'll start trying to frame the argument about how Amused must not have many friends. Because that is typically the next step in the argument from people with your mindset. And you desperately have to believe that people that can see through your bullshit are just friendless assholes, I'm guessing because that probably describes yourself.

Well Greenman is an obvious troll.

However, don't let this distract you from the fact that in 1972 a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Los Angeles underground. Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire the A-Team

Only in so much as I don't care for the attitude of superiority some here demonstrate, I find it juvenile. Your ideals don't make you better than others, it's your actions that count.

I hope your not suggesting that the A Team wasn't one of the great series of the century. I promise you, that will put us at odds.

No, my ideas don't make me better than others. However statements rooted in fact ARE better than claims based on misconceptions..

What you're sensing is not an attitude of superiority. It is the difference between factual information and misconceptions. You are under the mistaken impression that your misconception is as valid as someone else's verifiable fact and thus deserves the same level of respect and consideration It is not and does not.
