I was asking about Tuscany. Sicily already confirmed to be hell on earth.in Sicily summer is between early June and early October. You get 4 months of face-melting heat to deal with.

Tuscany is mostly mountains. Not particularly tall mountains, but mountains nonetheless. So it's only august that really gets hot.I was asking about Tuscany. Sicily already confirmed to be hell on earth.
Martin Philip is a generous genius when it comes to teaching the art of baking pizza in a home oven — that much is well established. What you didn't know until now is that Martin has been spending his free summer time operating a volunteer pizza pop-up out of his home. His wildly successful 'Anonymous Pizza' project supports Slice Out Hunger, a non-profit that purchases pizza from independent pizza makers and distributes them to soup kitchens and shelters. Martin's loving family and community also swoop in to make the most of this culinary altruism.
i don't know what sort of mozzarella situation you guys have over there, but here in the UK you can buy own-brand mozzarella (tastes *identical* to Galbani) for 60p each. Which puts it as cheaper than any version of for-pizza mozzarella.
Obviously, you can't use it out of the pack like that; i mean, you CAN, but you need to know how. Anyway,
i buy that mozzarella and i simply cube it, salt it with rock salt, and leave it in a bowl for a few hours, or overnight. Drain the serum that comes out (salting is it NOT necessary, you can simply cube it and leave it, but a bit of salt does improve everything) and the next day, or even a few hours after, it's ready to use.
It will still melt properly, remaining white instead of going yellow.
This is awesome!

FuuugWell, it looks like I have a super hit on my hands today. Check it out if you'd like!
It was the olives. It doesn't get much love on r/pizza.
YouTube keeps recommending New Haven apizza videos. Is it worth the 2.5 hour train journey from NYC to New Haven for this?
@Kadio @Kadio @Kadio @Kadio @Kadio
ALL that in one day? Whose side are you on? Us or Them?2. Pepe's Quattro Formaggio + a Foxon Park soda = great! But ONLY the New Haven location! Go there for a pre-game lunch "appetizer".
3. Then go across the street to Zeneli's. Get a Neapolitan pizza, some homemade pasta, and honey-walnut ricotta toast for lunch. Not Apizza but too good to pass up!
4. For dinner, go to Modern. Get an Italian bomb and a tomato & cheese. Optionally a white clam pie if you're into that (I'm not, but it's VERY popular!).
5. Go to the Arethusa Farm store for ice cream & some take-home cheese!
@DigDog we made it to Gustapizza and the Ponte Vecchio just like I said we would.both good choices. the place looks nice from the photos.
If you could see me now, you would see the most smug smile in the history of smugness.Also, thank you for the suggestion about cutting out Lucca and spending more time in Cinque Terra. It was a great suggestion.
3. i can only repeat that EVERYONE always tries to cram too much shit in their italian holiday. Always, without fail, erring with consistency, the eternal mistake, inescapable fate, the.fail.destiny, everyone always always makes this mistake.
