Yeah, I love pizza - after all I am a fat guy. Hello everyone, long time reader, posting here for the first time. I'm starting this thread to catalog my road to wellness... or, fitness, or, well - I don't have an actual goal. I'm fat, 287 pounds, 6 feet tall, 28 years old and may as well be 88 years old.

The question I ask myself is, how did I get fat? Once upon a time in a past life I was an athlete. Without tooting my own horn too much I never had to work that hard as an athlete and I was usually faster, stronger and just better than a lot of people I played with and against. What this meant is I never learned to work hard and while others did, I survived on genetics and natural ability. Then somthing happened, real life. I stopped playing sports, went to school, got a job, sat in a cube and ate fast food daily and ten years later things have become sadly pathetic for me.

What's sadder? I've been in this condition for about four years now. Ouch. So enough is enough and all that. My story isn't more interesting than that. I'll be updating this thread with photos and what I'm doing (or not doing). Photos of a fat guy to come! Hide yo kids, hide yo wife! Cus' I'm grossin' out everybody out there!

Good luck. :) If you have the motivation to stick with it, this is a great place for advice and information.

Pizza is good. In moderation. :) I've been through the daily fast-food thing at work, and it was a major contributor to sending me to my highest weight ever... do change that ASAP.

Sounds like you have some killer genetics for putting on some serious muscle but that also means that you will probably spend your life needing to eat less and watch your calorie intake. Its a dbl edged sword

it's even better when you make your own. as for the weight problem, you just have higher metabolism, get hungry faster, eat more food. incidentally fat people make the strongest athletes *if they get all their exercise*

What is the plan? Cutting calories alone or doing this with exercise? If exercise, what is the plan there?

The fat loss sticky is priceless. read it!
