Pizza Hut moving away from Coupons?

I know they are still offering them via their website, but they have been offering less and less traditional coupons.

For instance, for several years I would buy the 'Two Medium Pizzas any way you want it for $xx.yy' a couple of times a month. About 10-days ago I looked on their website and no such coupons. Strange. I sent them an email letting them know it will hurt their business (I'm living proof).

They typically have 6-8 different coupons available at any given time, but last week it was five. Today, I go look and instead of a meager five coupons its down to four and instill no traditional coupons. Thus, I ask if they are trying to get rid of customers buying medium pizzas (not enough margin in them, I guess).

Looks like its Papa Johns again. I told Pizza Slut that I'd go with their competition. I guess they didn't believe me.

Fugging subway has cut out their stamps, supposedly becaus epeople were ripping them off. BS, they've had those for over a decade. They already became niggerly with them a few years ago. In the past 6/12 got a 6/12 inch sub. Recently it was 8/16, and only if you bought a drink, and now nothing.

Subway sucks now. Plus, damn they are expensive.

Of course, saying this when I can go to Chicago, home of the best tasting pizza in the world, in an hour and a half isnt' exactly fair . . . but I shouldn't rub it in like that.

I grew up in an Italian-Irish community in New England and moved to 'the south' in 1989. There are no 3rd generation pizza places around here. Hell, there aren't any first-generation pizza places that I know of.

Me and my better half found out about the subway stamp deal Sunday night. She was quite upset especially since she only needed one more for a free 12inch. I really don't see how anybody was taking advantage of the stamps. I think subway just wanted to find a new way to piss off their loyal customers.

Local place has the BEST pizza I've ever had, large cheese for $6, or large pepperoni for $7. Won't deliver it though, but I guarantee it's an awesome pie.

I always grab the coupon stack when we go to order pizza. Wouldn't order from PH without coupons unless they had some new pizza on special or something like that. We don't have a Papa Johns, or Little Casesars around here at all. Might be a LC somewhere but it's not real close. PH and Dominos are 10 minutes away. Papa Murphy's is only down the street...

I prefer ordering from pizza hut online, using the 2 Large one topping pizzas for 14.99. The online couple allows stuffed crust for this coupon. So 7.50 for a stuffed crust one topping pizza, can't beat that.

Perhaps there were no coupons for the 2 medium pizzas because you don't need coupons for them!
I happened to go there yesterday, asked what the specials were...
the last thing the waitress said was "and, as always, if you get a large pizza, the 2nd large is $6. If you get a medium pizza, the 2nd medium is... (I forget)" We went for the 2 large pizzas; after 8.25% tax, it came out to 18 something, about the same as the coupons of the more recent past.

btw, PH sucks, as do the rest of the chains. The *only* good pizzas are in local restaurants, be it NY style or Chicago style. Chain pizza is generally tolerable though. (I find Dominos to be the least tolerable.)

pizza hut is the best chain pizza IMO but I also noticed their prices are much higher than the others. I used to get 2 specialty (meat lovers or supreme) mediums for $15 total and without coupons, they are about $22 total. No coupons, no thanks.
