So when he comes back, will you tip him?

Of course I will. I dont buy the 15 dollar change thing. As soon as he gets to the first house that pays cash he'll have however much cash anyways. So why not start with a decent amount.

Whenever I was a waiter, I carried 100-200 cash in all size bills for any situation my customers had.

maybe he cashed out before he got to your house? maybe he doesn't work on a float system? maybe he's not retarded like you and doesn't think that comparing waiters to delivery guys is a valid analogy?

Customer service? Just about any place that takes in cash accepts a 50. And if they dont, they certainly inform you ahead of time.
buddy, he's not a walking ATM. he doesn't keep a cash register on him. and the onus is on you to take 2.3 seconds on the phone to say you're paying with a 50.

Im not the one who called in the order.

Again, life goals. You are a pizza boy.

Better than being a dick who can't figure out how to buy a pizza, isn't it?

If you would have read, you would know that I didn't order the pizza. My wife did, and she didn't know that the only cash we had was from birthday money.

Tell us about life goals again, Mr. Birthday Money.

Once again, if you would have read, you would know that I dont carry cash on a regular basis.

If you don't carry cash on a regular basis, why would you or your wife expect to have any cash other than your birthday money (which was $50s) in the house?

Ok, so let's run through this step by step:
1) You're a guy who doesn't normally carry cash
2) Your wife orders pizza, not knowing that the only cash that you have is "birthday money." Why does she assume you might have other cash, when you're a non-cash carrying kinda guy?
3) You're a dick to the pizza man.

You and your wife appear to be a well matched pair.

that's what i don't get. they didn't check to see if they had reasonable funds before placing the order. WHO DOES THAT?

i always make sure i have money before i spend it. isn't that logical?

what if that "birthday" money hadn't been there?

I wasn't a dick to the pizza guy at all. I appologized and handed him the pizza back. He's actually in the Army as well which is why he trusted me with leaving the pizza.

So you were just a dick behind his back-- nice to him in person, but calling him the "worst delivery person ever" because of an error on your part? How nice of you.

I'm getting a chuckle about a few people getting so fired up about my dinner. I never did any name calling.

I am curious though how often delivery people get robbed, granted I'm sure its completely different for different areas.

Just for the record, my wife ordered the pizza and didn't know that all we had was our birthday money which was in 50's. I dont think she would have mentioned it anyways, seeing as that we use credit cards 99% of the time.

But regardless, I dont think pizza boy robbery is high in this area.

I've escorted 120,000 times the amount of money that my pizza delivery person had today on him, so maybe I just dont get worked up over 30 something dollars.

Granted, I was heavily armed 😛

I think they're getting worked up over your arrogant refusal to admit that you were wrong. Is it really that hard? "Sorry, I made a mistake. I assumed something I shouldn't have assumed. It won't happen again."

so because YOU don't understand women and the PIZZA guy isn't carrying change for a $50. he is automatically the WORST DELIVERY guy EVER??

why not just say, ok, wife and i fvcked up but the pizza guy was pretty cool about it, because guess what, from OUR perspective, THAT'S WHAT HAPPENED.

Update in the first post, he just came back for his cash. Obviously I was incorrect about him being the worst delivery person ever, but I still do believe that accepting a 50 is not a big deal. I'm not one to just edit my words to cover my ass though.

Interesting, without the story being complete, and myself being the "moron" this thread didn't go longer then 2 minutes without a reply, now that the story was updated all the trolls went back into their caves and the thread dies.

Of course I'm sure that there are a few grammatical errors along the way, but I can live with those.

I dunno, but literally there wasn't more then a 2 minute gap for almost 2 hours. At least that I could find in my quick scan.

I still say that if you can't break a 50 you shouldn't be delivering pizza.

A 20 is nothing, its like a modern day 5 dollar bill. If the pizza guy can't get that through his retarded skull - then so be it.

Don't let them jack you over with that "I don't have change" routine. They have change.

Let's go over this again - HIS EMPLOYER WILL NO LET HIM CARRY THAT MUCH CHANGE ON HIM.

Geeze - I swear - you should have to pass a reading comprehension test to be allowed on the internet!

Then Papa Johns corporate policy must not exist here in Vegas.

It's in all of their handbooks - policies can be ammended per market and per franchise on an individual basis.

Las Vegas isn't exactly the best example - I can understand why they'd need change, since alot of customers probably carry large bills on them while they waste their money gambling.

A city with a population of 1.4 mil and all the locals have the need to carry large bills because they are all gambling ?

no a city with 40 million visitors per year have a need to carry large bills because they are all gambling

Then tell me the percentage of this revenue that comes from the 40 mil visitors that come to Clark County gets spent in local businesses in Clark County that don?t hold gaming licenses.
I doubt my local Papa Johns in Summerlin is doing deliveries to the strip hotels.

and I don't doubt they are doing deliveries to the regular hotels
