I worked in a bakery many, years back, with an old German guy named Tony Braun. His nickname was "Brownie"
Brownie disliked it when people would interchangeably use the term grease for butter, margarine, oil.
He used to say, (in his thick German accent):
"Grease is for axles."
He was hilarious. I miss the old guy when I think about his brownieisms. He had many of them.
