Pixellation in video files?

I upgraded to vista recently and since doing so I have been having problems with video playback. Files that worked before using the same codecs now appear to be very rough and pixellated, I have no idea what is causing this... anyone know what the source of my problem might be? All I have installed is the CCCP codec pack (same one I was using on xp pro) and the nvidia drivers... also a few games were added...

The only thing I can think of is it reset your Windows Media Player settings to default.
Check to make sure you have all hardware accelleration and post processing effects enabled.
