i just got some NICE component cables 😛 for my apex. hooked them up into my wega, and put in apocalypse now.

for some reason, you can see pixelation throughout the movie, and in some scenes, its BBBBAAAADDDD!!!

i dont think it is the component cables, because i used video essentials to calibrate the DVD, and didnt notice ANYTHING. then i watched hte patriot and it all seemed good. is it just hte movie?

Probably just the movie. Older moves like Rumble in the Bronx are noticeably more ugly than new movies like Toy Story 2.

Not all Film to Digital transfers are clean, especially older movies.

Digital to Digital transfer will obviously make the best transfers (like Toy Story) since it's a straight port.

I'd exchange the movie anyway though, just to be sure.

I often see that on my crappy old 14" television with no remote and a seperate button for each channel.....
