Pitssburgh/PA House Hunting

So....the question is rather simple, any good areas for them to be looking for a house? Suburbs are okay too.

Requirements:

Flat lot (this is apparently hard in town itself);
4 bedrooms upstairs;
Decent area to raise kids, both now and in the next 10-15 years;
Decent commute to US Steel (I think this means towards the east side of town, but I'm just guessing that's where the plant is.
Preferably lower taxes.

Thanks.

How long of a commute are they willing to make? (time, not distance)
There are multiple US Steel locations - which one? Edgar Thomson Works?
Do they want a top-notch school system, or just above-average?
How large of a lot?
Is their budget large (i.e. hardly matters)?

It may not be possible to have a short commute and top-notch schools if the US Steel location is the Edgar Thomson Works.

i'd suggest looking in monroeville. it's in the suburbs, but on the east side of pittsburgh. good school district, the taxes are on the higher side though.
