that's not what the police said. higher crime incidence by that group yes. it's simple statistics that if you increase a population by a factor, the crimes committed by that population will increase by the same factor under normal assumptions. whether or not certain groups are more likely to commit crimes is left unsaid.

in other words, nothing in that article can be taken as racist.
