Pit Bull Problems?

Well, pit bulls can be perfectly nice dogs, so long as the owners know how to control them and establish dominance.

In general people are just pansies...or jerks. Stubborn, uptight jerks that simply don't like dogs will use any excuse to exaggerate an "attack" and have that person's dog taken away from them....only because "a" dog (maybe not even that dog) shat on their lawn one time ages past.

people can own whatever they want.

i dont give a sh!t how "nice" your rottie or pitbull is, if you own one..i am not coming over anyway!

so is it ok for me to have a tiger for pet? Generally speaking they are nice too... but every once in a while they can and do go off... ask Siegreid and ROy.

The ignorance in your post astounds me.

I'm sorry but no. Apples and Oranges. We're talking about the difference between natural instinct in wild animals, versus natural instinct in domesticated animals. Dogs are essentially puppies, even as adults, in regards to the pack/social behavior that wolves exhibit. That's why they're considered domesticated. For example, dogs are predisposed to play. They love it. Adult wolves do not play.

Durrr..I think I got off track. Anyway, the reason pit bulls are commonly outlawed is because of their stereotyped roll in dog fighting rings. This isn't an untrue stereotype. And so when pit bull puppies are rescued, they could have come from a violently bred line, but that's not always the case. Pure bred pits are just as loyal and "personable" as many other breeds of dog...but even those dogs would be outlawed from various cities (like Denver, where I live), just because they are pit bulls.

Poodles and dalmations are also notorious for losing it and biting people/other animals, but you don't see them getting outlawed everywhere. No negative/illicit stereotype. Really, I believe it all comes down to the owner. Not enough dog owners know how to properly train and establish dominance over their pet.

Also, generally speaking tigers are NOT nice....I know because I've trained them. Again, wild vs. domesticated.
