That happened to me once in a car in high school, at the drag strip. Was a 70 chevelle with a 454. Hitting the shift to 2nd on redline a piston decided to take off, right through the head and hood. The hood looked like someone shot a cannon ball through it with jagged rips coming out of it. I got in shit for getting oil all over the track even though i killed the engine immediatly and pulled over.
