Pistachio nuts FTW (IMHO they tie with Macadamia Nuts @#1 for awesomeness)

Half the fun is opening them, and it's the only thing that stops you eating waiiiii to many of them in one sitting

At around 8 calories each, that's important; count up the number of empty shells when you're done and do the math. I've eaten the equivalent of a Big Mac, Fries, and Coke just having a few for a snack during a football game.

I'm just glad they don't dye them red like they used to, I hated having the red-stained fingertips.

I live in the middle of America's almond country (here, they call them ahmonds, not all-monds..."you don't call sahmon sall-mon do ya", they say...

Also, lots of walnut orchards around too, but almonds are king in Stanislaus county...
