I'd probably keep it to give as a gift but I have no relatives in its age range(they are either too young or too old) and I like more practical things these days.

sjwaste: yah, i went to local store and play the same exact guitar, just 4-string version. it sounded awesome so i tried to order from that store but they wanted wayyyy too much

anywho, after never receiving an email from the stupid management team, i called up and the CSR took care of it all. my bass should be here tomorrow and they gave me a return label for the guitar. assuming i get the correct one tomorrow ill be happy.

whats funnier though, i called my dad and told him the deal. he told me last christmas he ordered a vacuum cleaner for my brother and his wife and the morons at overstock sent him a full sized couch. hahaha, thats a HUGE fuck up...

haha...POS my ass, it is pretty nice. honestly though, this guitar sucks ass...the fretboard has a thing peice of wood on plastic, the frets are lame, it sounds like ass, and there is glue comming out everywhere. i'm glad i didnt buy an epiphone

Not everything in a post is directly applicable to you. Many think that a video game / monitor wouldn't be shipped in such obvious boxes.

Second, Musician's Friend has great customer service. Go to their Chat service on their site and they should get you fixed up (I had a wrong pedal shipped to me a couple of years ago and they overnighted it to me + paid for the shipping on the return).

Third, it's Christmas, so the warehouses have to hire a lot of temp help, which means more mistakes. Give them some slack.

Send an email, try the online chat they have and then phone them when you have time. I've never had a problem with Musician's Friend, either but I'm guessing it's the rush of the holidays that you have been a victim of. Best of luck sorting it out!

god...dammit...this is it. i will NEVER order from MF again. the idiots LIED and said they would mail it out last night. when did they mail it? today, of course. what kind of company straight out LIES to the customer? i would have been happier if they would have just said they coudlnt get it out last night but they could tomorrow....what a bunch of jerks
 
hahaha, management finally decided to call me back, but i had to ask them to call back in an hour since i'm working 😛 they are gonna get it
 
well...i wait for the call from the manager but cant wait any longer. so, i call the CSR people...explain, put on hold. while on hold, the manger calls in. i explain, he understands perfectly and apologizes. he says MF really wants my business and offers 100 credit to my card. i agree and he apologizes again. I swich back over to the other call, still on hold. moron comes back and before i can tell him the manager has taken care of me he says he will give me 75 store credit. i tell him the story, he says, well, we already gave you the credit. i say thanks and he apologizes. end of phone call...

well, i cant say i am happy, but this does make me feel better. now, lets just hope that it is the right product this time.
