Pirate Battle?

before anyone quips of course there are still pirates, I'm making note of the idea of a pirate battle with any vessel of the US Navy. Is it really much of a battle? A little one sided, no?

It looks like the battle was between the North Korean crew and the pirates, and the US Navy wasn't directly involved in the fighting.

I'd give props to the North Koreans, but I strongly suspect they're ninjas, so it wouldn't have been a fair fight anyway.

In all seriousness, what's the point of being a pirate in this day and age?

to attempt to control the seas that are not protected by technologically advanced powers, and better yet, for control of the seas far away from the influence of advanced powers. very few such waters exist. mostly seems to be rivers and whatnot where the pirates will try and take control.

If only they had attacked a Japanese ship. We could have finally settled the years old question of who would win in a fight between Pirates and Ninjas.

There is a video out there of a Japanese ship taking fire from a North Korean boat. The japs return fire and sink the ship but sustain several lodge bullets in their hull.
