Pioneer Plasma?

I'm looking to find out if anyone here has the Pioneer PRO-930HD Plasma Panel, and wondering if you are satisified with this Television. It's going to be put in my room for college in the fall.

Wow, for a dorm room? Pioneer and Panasonic are the top displays, so you can't go wrong. You may want to check out avsforum though.

27" TVs are like $300 now. why do you need a plasma? honestly, i'd hate to have something expensive in my dorm room; your roomate(s) and their friends would probably mess with it.

I'm not worried about someone messing with the tv, my best friend is going to be my roomate.

I've always loved their sets...some of the best, if not the best glass on the market, not to mention superior internals and processing.

drool.

thats not the point. a 2k tv in a dorm room is huge bragging rights! thats pretty much it anyway.

hahahahah i can't wait for the "roomate was drunk and we broke my 2k TV!"

there would be NO FVCKIGN way i would take something that expensive to the dorms.

not really.

the reason anyone has a 2k tv in the dorms is for bragging rights. thats it.

the 2nd statement just says i would NOT have a 2k tv in my room. i don't see how they contradict each other at all.

uh no they don't

The Pioneer and Panasonic range of plasma screens are stunning imo.

I had a $3k 23" lcd monitor in my dorm room 😛. Security at our dorms were great. Quite a few cameras and security would walk about a bit. I felt my stuff was safe.

have you lived in the dorms before? or you just not going to have anyone over ever?

It's not a dorm, me and my friend have a condominium, the college doesn't require Freshmen to live in dorms.

wow. can you guys stray any further from what the OP is asking.

he's already assessed the risks of his actions. if he's wrong, then he'll deal with it. he didn't post a thread asking if what he was doing was a good idea.

AND, to answer the OP, the best place to read about reviews is the AVS forum (search on google for the address), but Pioneer makes one of the best plasmas out there. i doubt you would go wrong with it...
