Pioneer DEH-P3100... any good?

I'm thinking of getting this in-dash cd player, so I was hoping someone here may own one, or has used one before. What do you think of it?

Well, I've got the P5200 and I think it's great. A friend of mine has the one that's just a step above the 3100 and likes it.

i have the deh-P2000, (last year's model) it is equivalent to the 3100 except the 3100 adds a backlit LCD display i believe...but if its pioneer, i'd recommend it...pioneer's play all cd-r's and are great decks, period...

Do you know of any car audio forums that I may get more responces from? Maybe even a more detailed and informative responce?

Not to say that people here dont know anything about car audio. We just specialize in computers. I should probably ask those that specialize with car audio.

I have a Pioneer and it plays CDR and CDRW. Highly recommend them.

I have that exact model and haven't had any problems/complaints.

I've had two friends that had the top two models pioneer makes. They make quality hu's, but I prefer clarion myself. As for forums check out elite and www.caraudioforum.com or www.sounddomain.com. For shops check out www.mmxpress.com, soundhabit.com, or carmedia1.com.

I have that model, so does xero, its great, and plays all the CD-R I can throw at it, it even plays the REAL no name brand CD-R's... Also it's great to use for later expansion ( amp + sub). Good Luck and remember Sony sucks! 🙂
