I just got my Pioneer A06 last night and I tried making a movie DVD out of an AVI file that I captured from a friend's Mini-DV camera. Using the included software, Ulead's DVD MovieFactory that came with the burner, I burned the 4.1GB file onto a DVD-RW (which in turn is compressed to a 1.1GB file.. taking up 19mins on the DVD)...
Well, I played back the DVD on my laptop to see how good it looked.. and the video quality was taken down quite a bit. It definately didn't look as good as it did in the raw avi format.
Isn't there a way to burn it to DVD without losing video quality ... or does it not matter on TVs and standalone dvd players?
