That retail value of $550 is probably the retail value like 3-5 years ago. It's a pretty cold deal IMHO. NO Dolby Digital, NO DTS, just Dolby Prologic...

SX209 is cheapest pioneer DD receiver without DTS decoding, no enough power.

I have a SX409 for $170 shipped 2 years ago, sound quality is too bad. Not hot. If anyone has interest, I could sold mine for $120.

just picked up a Pioneer Elite VSX-35XT receiver for $489! Floor modelso I got an extra $50 off but still listed at 549 on clearance reg $999. For those interested hit your local Tweeter Etc. and look for some discounts. I know I know theyre a rip off! I stil couldnt find anything close to that price for that model unit...

Wow. I recently got the vsx-d810s from etronics, and I thought that was a good deal...
